My Dad and I are going to go to Paulina and East Lakes the 2nd week of August. I've wanted to go over to those lakes for many years but haven't been able to make it until now. I can't wait! And WOW I'll actually have something to report on, on my site. I'll buy some new batteries for my camera so I can get lots of pictures! Hope to have lots of stories to tell when I get back! And hopefully I'll have some pic's of some of those giant German browns those lakes are famous for!!!

A Trip to Remember!

This was a first...My Dad and I going on a week long fishing trip together, just the 2 of us! We packed up and headed out on Sunday the 10th of August, and headed to the Lapine area. On our way over we stopped at Craine Prairie and fished for several hours without a bite. Then loaded up the boat and headed to East Lake. We got there about 4 oclock in the afternoon. We set up camp and headed out on the lake. In the 1st hour I caught 2 fish, an Atlantic salmon and a rainbow, both about 13 inches, ...

Willy at Hills Creek

I went to Hills Creek today with Bottom Bob from OFF and had a great time, we got there around sunrise and left around 3 pm....the weather was perfect and the fishing was reasnable. Caught some very nice Native Rainbows....the lake is as full as I have ever seen it for this time of the year...very beautiful place.. Campers and boaters galore, but the lake is so large that no one bothered anyone else...what a great day.

Well this is a tale I have been trying to figure out how to tell this and make it exciting and suspenseful so it will be a great post so here I go.

My youngest daughter (7) and I do alot of fishing together she is quite the little angler she got interested in fishing when she was about 3 and I havent been able to slow her down yet.

Anyway last summer she asked me if we could go out in the float tubes and go catch some bass I told her no float tubes but I know a place we can do excellent ...

Has any one drifted the Willy from Dexter to Pengra landing, without dumping them selves in the water ? I am looking for something a bit less life threating than my last trip. If you know of some water in and around the Springfield area that has some calmer water it would be greatly appriciated.

Well fishing on the South Umpqua has been fairly slow this year but that might have something to do witht the fact i am spending so much time in school looks like more memmbers are joining good deal. well just wanted to leave a post see if anyone was still around anyone in this area (Roseburg) PM me we will set up a float.

Hi all! The names Ian, some of you may recognize me from OFF, as i recognize a few members here. For those that care, or don't know, i fish the Clackamas river most of the time, for the sea run fish that come up it all year! I have been getting into bass fishin lately. Real fighters! Not what i thought to say the least...Might as well get more introduced predatory fish out of our Salmon waters right??? I went to my hideout this morning to avoid the crowds. Not much for the

size, just good numbers of native rainbows makes for a relaxing time.

Largest was maybe 8" and actually picked up a cutthroat which I hadn't

done here before. Approx 15 fish in a few hours... and one salamander

keeping me company.

Sorry everyone for not being here for the last few weeks! I had to pay taxes this year and had to skip payments on some of my bills to come up with some money to pay the IRS. Hills Creek Fishery

Went to Hills Creek this morning with Bentrod....the threat of snow and rain was on the forecast....can you believe it a bit of wind but other than a little cold the weather was great...the fishing was great. We had one of those days of catching instead of fishing... Three species caught and all released unharmed. The water temp was 36 in the morning and 40 in the aftenoon, won't be long and the Bass will be roaming around looking for my lure . Great day with a good friend and not one lost ...

Reel comparision

I am going to start Large Mouth Bass angling this year with a dedicated rod and reel, should I stay with what I know, Spinning reel; just larger with a different style rod. Or go with the traditional Bass gear, baitcaster reel and a pistol grip rod ? My goal is to catch the fish and I don't think it matters to them one way or another. I just don't want to spend the $ for something I am not gonna use...I all ready have a drawer full of that stuff, electronic lures and the such. Shimano makes ...

The Goose is a mother goose on her nest she is pretty kewl she never moves just sits there guarding her nest she is neat she has been in the same spot with her nest for four years now kinda kewl..

My wife and I went to ford's pond in Sutherlin a nasty day for fishing windy rainy but we were fishing any way my wife out fished me she caught a nice 2.5 pounder and we got a little surprise my dogs being the wonderful animals that they are got in a fight with a female Nutria and her babies so my wife came home with 2 nutria's as well we are going to take them to wildlife safari or something I don't know she saves everything . I guess thats why she married me. later.

On March 12th me and a buddy went fishing on the sourht fork of the Umpqua river outside Roseburg. We landed 3 fish and were 100% on hoooking the hungry fish. The first fish was a 12lb hatery fish caught by Kelly. THe fight was awesome it breached the water 3 times and gave a good show. About an hour later I got into my first steelhead. It turned out to be a native and weighed in at 6lbs. Amazingly enough without our experienced guide Brent I would have had no idea I even had a bite. ...

My son and I went fishing at Ben Irving reservoir yesterday we didn't catch a thing I missed a nice bass and we got a couple bites from trout possibly.

We had the canoe out with the trolling motor it was really a nice day other than the fact we got rained on snowed on hailed on and sleeted on all with in an hour span but we were fishing we had a blast..
